La Pine, Oregon: “Small Town Bright Future”
La Pine is nestled in the valley of the Little Deschutes River and is a charming small town with a bright vision for the future. Back in the 1800’s French fur traders were the first to settle here. This town has history that is over 100 years old but is also one of the youngest towns in Oregon to be incorporated in 2007.
A town that is surrounded by mountain peaks, tall pines, rivers and a multitude of lakes and has over 300 days of sunshine in a year. Approximately 1700 people that call La Pine HOME!
In the last few years it has been exciting to see La Pine grow. The town is starting to attract bigger business that will help provide more jobs that will help encourage growth and help keep our locals from moving away to the bigger city. This is defiantly a “Small Town with a Bright Future”.
