Sunriver Area Community Information:

Phase 2, Deschutes County  - In compliance with guidelines

• Gathering limits will be raised to 50 people indoors, and 100 people outdoors.
• Indoor and outdoor venues, including churches, faith-based organizations, and theaters, with six feet of physical distancing and other measures in place, can reach a COVID-19 occupancy limit of up to 250 people.
• Offices can begin reopening and employees can return to workplaces with physical distancing and other measures in place, although remote work is still strongly recommended whenever possible.
• Increased travel is allowed throughout Oregon, though staying local is still recommended to prevent overloading county health systems.
• Restaurants and bars will have curfews extended to midnight.
• Pools and sports courts will be allowed to reopen under new guidance.
• Indoor and outdoor activities such as bowling, batting cages, and mini golf, will be allowed to reopen under guidance.
• Recreational sports can resume in a limited form, under strict physical distancing guidance.

SHARC Aquatics remains closed for now:

As of 3 pm on June 5, Deschutes County was approved to move into Phase 2. No date for reopening SHARC aquatics has been announced at this time. Sunriver Owners Association is working through the state's reopening guidelines and it will take time to safely and successfully reopen pools according to these reopening guidelines. We ask for your continued patience and any new information will be posted on our website SHARC

Bend-La Pine Schools' Grab and Go free meals for children will be extended through this summer. The free meals are available to children age 0 to 18, Monday to Friday, from 10:30 am to noon and includes Three Rivers School. Visitors are asked to enter through designated doors, pick up a meal from the cafeteria and then take the meal to go. Adults can purchase a meal for $4. Details

Sunriver Music Festival - This year marks the 25th season of the Sunriver Music Festival upholding its mission to nurture the next generation of classical musicians via the mighty supporters of the Young Artists Scholarship program (YAS). Even in the midst of these days of heartbreaking cancellations, music WILL continue! Over the next few months, we look forward to introducing you to all of 2020's fine young YAS recipients and we'll also be shining the spotlight on some accomplished alumni! Over the next few weeks, $35,000 in scholarships will be disbursed among this year's 24 deserving recipients. That makes for over $580,000 total in the 25-year history of YAS. Details. 

Cascade East Transit - The new Route 31 FREE Summer Shuttle connects the city of La Pine and Sunriver. The free service operates seven days per week between June 1 and September 7, with stops located at 4th and Huntington, St. Charles Family Clinic, and Wickiup Junction in La Pine and The Resort in Sunriver. The service starts at 5:15 am in La Pine and runs until 7:30 pm, offering nine round trips every day of the week. Please share this information to residents, employers, and employees to help foster job growth, economic development, and increased access to health care services in Southern Deschutes County. The Deschutes National Forest has begun the first phase of opening campgrounds. They will restore access to campgrounds incorporating considerations for the safety of visitors and employees. If a campground remains closed, it is likely closed due to hazard trees or other safety issues. As always, forest visitors are encouraged to "Know Before You Go." Community Health Center - With heavy hearts, we must announce that our location in the Sunriver Business Park will close on June 12, 2020. Although we will no longer have a physical presence in Sunriver, we want to assure you that La Pine Community Health Center (LCHC) will still be available in La Pine, just a few miles down the road, to support the health and wellness of the Sunriver area communities. Our other satellite locations including La Pine School-Based Health Center, Gilchrist School-Based Health Center and Christmas Valley will also remain open.
